Shopnopuri artificial amusement park

Not a dream, but a dream like's quiet, dreamy place is Shopnopuri Dinajpur. Which has been able to attract the attention of tourists from all over the country and abroad. This fantastic picnic spot spreads over 400 acres of land in Khalishpur Mauza of Aftabganj in Nawabganj Upazila of Dinajpur district. It is a spectacular picnic or entertainment spot in greater Rangpur.

Shopnopuri Location: 

Shopnopuri is 33 miles or 52 kilometers south-east by road from Dinajpur district town and 12 kilometers from Phulbari Upazila. From Dinajpur, via Phulbari  Aftabganj Bazar you can reach here easily.

Many tourists from different places of Bangladesh come here to entertain or picnic. Particularly in the winter season, there are more crowds. It has also been known as a film spot. Already few movies, telefilm, and drama have been shot here.

When you arrive at Shopnopuri, two large-sized angel statues will welcome. They stretched and raised one hand and stood on both sides of the gate. Crossing the gate, different trees on the two sides of the road. Then there will be a row of Debdaru (Polyalthia longifolia) trees on the two sides of the road.

The rows of coconut trees on both sides of it. Going on a paved road in a charming environment, you will remember that song- Ei poth Jodi na shesh hoy, tobe kemon hoto tumi boloto (If this path is not over yet, how would it be, you would say).

There are artificial meadows, hills, lakes, parks, diverse vegetation and flowers commemorations, Children Park, zoo, artificial animals, flower garden, brick kiln, artificial fountain, horse chariot, Hansraj sampan, shalbagan, sports stage, namazghar, sculpture, dak-bungalow, clay Map of Bangladesh and a big market. As an obsessive-looking dream place.

This dreamy world is divided into a few parts, standing in the footsteps of Rabindranath Tagore, the national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and the scarcity of the peasant sculpted sitting in the neck. There are chairs and tools available for sitting arrangement. There are also artificial hills and waterfalls. Falling water from the fountain falls into a small pond. There is 2500 square feet wide area of Bangladesh map, which is made with brick-cement.

If you want, you will be able to stay here for two days. For this, there are five beautiful bungalows named Nishipadma, Nilpori, Shondha Tara, Rajanigandha and VIP Kunja. These cottages are rented for passing leisure time. There is an excellent provision of food at low prices.

There is a children park, and you can ride on horseback. There are also arrangements for the ride in the beautiful horse carriage. The transportation of horse is on top of the colorful umbrella, which runs along the way. There are also markets for shopping in the office premises and few restaurants.

There are various types of rental ovens for cooking assistance. All the items of the chairs, tables, utensils, and renovations are rented here. The place is fully secured. It is known that on February 2, 1989, favorite piper Mohammad Delwar Hossain inaugurated this area with a private initiative of only 38 acres of land. Now it has expanded to 400 acres.

Shopnopuri founder and managing director Md. Delwar Hossain wishes - to make it as the best leisure center in Bangladesh and to build a full studio here. As tourists visiting the country and abroad are fascinated by this.
