This College has given birth to a lot of knowledgeable people who have made a bright role in different fields. After learning from this college, many students have emerged as well-known doctors, lawyers, administrators, scientists, engineers, politicians. A Very famous college student was Shaheed Janani Jahanara Imam, former two students Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem, Hussein Mohammad Ershad, the President of Bangladesh; Major General Mustafizar Rahman served as the army chief.

At the beginning of the last century, ie, until 1916, Rangpur region had many schools, but no college was there. In 1877, an old educational institute of Rangpur was established in 1832 in the Rangpur district school to initiate the process of establishing the college or higher secondary class. But it stops it as a student. At that time, Presidency College and a few other colleges have been created around Calcutta in undivided Bengal.
Similarly, there were two colleges in East and West Bengal. But there was no college in Jalpaiguri, Dinajpur, Rangpur, Bogra, Pabna, and Maldah except the well-known Kuch Bihar College. Later, renowned Kunti zamindar educationist personality of Rangpur region, Mrityunjay Roy Chowdhury donated 125 bighas of land for the establishment of a first class college in Rangpur.
But he could not implement the government's approval without getting it. However, he continued to try and persuade other zamindars, wealthy individuals, and educators.
In 1913, Lord Thomas David Baron, Governor of the undivided Bengal, was given a civil affair when he arrived in Rangpur. At the reception ceremony, the governor was requested to assist in establishing a first-class college in the region. He respects all the requests of the citizens of Rangpur and informs that in the first phase of setting up a first-class college, it will require three lakh Taka.
According to his opinion, in 1913-14, Rangpur district collector JN Gupta became active in the field of establishment of the college. To collect funds for the establishment of the college, he convened a meeting with the kings, zamindars, wealthy people and educators of Rangpur region. In response to this initiative, the top landlords paid for the payment.
Those who are generous donors for the establishment of Carmichael College Rangpur are Zamindar of Tepa Annada Mohan Ray, Kundi, Kashimbazar, Kurigram, Kholahati, Dhulpurpur, Dharmpur, Muthna, Radhaballav, Dharmpur, Manthana, Tusbhbhndar, Mohipur and zamindars, Jotdars of Rasulpur region and wealthy and educated people. Some donate money. Somebody gives or builds and infrastructure.
The renowned zamindar of Kunti and the most educated person of Rangpur in that time, Surendra Nath Roy Chowdhury, are ahead in the land donation. They were two brothers and gave land worth about four and a half for the college.
