Where is Sajek Valley?

Sajek is located in Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati district. It is the biggest union of Bangladesh. Its size is 702 square miles. Tripura of India on the north, Longadu of Rangamati on the south, Mizoram of India on the east, Dighinala of Khagrachari on the west of Sajek. Although Sajek is located in Rangamati district, due to good road communication, tourists visit here by Khagrachari district.

Lusai's are the oldest population here, besides, Pankua and Tripura also live. This village was established in 1885. Lal Thanga Lusai is the current Head Man of this village. Sajak will reach a short time from Ruilui Para.

Sajek BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) Camp is the highest camp in Bangladesh. There is a helipad here. Kanglak Para is the last village of Sajek. It is also home to the population of Lusai. Head Man Choumingthai Lusai is the Head Man of this village. You can see the Indian Lusai hills from this village. After the Sajak BGB camp, no other camp has been given due to security reasons.

How to go to Sajek Valley Rangamati from Dhaka: 

From Dhaka, you can go to Khagrachari by Shyamoli and Hanif Paribahan, bus fare is 520 Taka. If you want to go to Dighinala directly by Shanti Paribahan then bus fare is 580 Taka. BRTC and Saint Martin Paribahan's AC buses are also available.

How to go to Sajek Valley resort from Khagrachari: 

From Khagrachari you can reach Sajak through three ways, Chand car, CNG, and motorcycle. The most popular medium is to reserve a Jeep (local name Chander Gari/car) from Khagrachari city. Its rent is 4500-5500 Taka. According to the size of the car, ten to 15 people can sit easily.

If people are less, then you can go to CNG from Khagrachari city. Rent is 3,000 Taka. You can also go there on a motorcycle. In this case, you will have to go from Khagrachari to Dighinala and then from there, you will be able to visit Sajek on the motorcycle. Three people can sit with motorcycle driver. The rent is 1000-1200 Taka.

Where to stay/Sajek Valley hotel: There are many good quality resorts there so you can safely stay with family or friends.

Rui-Lui Para / Sajek Resort: It is hosted by Bangladesh Army. There are four rooms on the first floor.

Sajek Valley resort price:  VIP room at 15,000 Taka, the other is 12,000 Taka and rests of the two are 10,000 Taka each. There is a food arrangement.

Sajek valley resort booking: The Khagrachari Cantonment has to be booked through the canary. Whose number is 01859025694, another number is 01847070395.

Runmoy: There are three rooms on the ground floor. Each rental is Tk 4450 for two people. You can take an extra bed with 600 Taka. There are two rooms on the top floor with a rent of Tk 4950. Two people can stay here. It can also take an extra bed with 600 Taka. There are four tents there, each tent rent is Tk 2850, four people can stay in a single tent.

Alo Resort Sajek Valley: It is located at Rui-Lui Para. There are 6 rooms in it. Total four double rooms here (two bedrooms). Each of which is worth 1000 Taka. Two single rooms are available here and rent is 700 Taka each.

Emmanuel Resort: It has 8 rooms. All Common Baths. Rooms are priced at Tk 1500 and Tk 700. There are two double beds in 1500 Takas room. 6 people can stay in this room. There are 2 beds in 700 Takas room.

Sara Resort: It is located in Ruilui Para. Its owner is Mana Dada. There are 4 rooms here. Three attached baths and one common bath. Rent per room is 1000 Taka, you can save 400 Taka if you take 4 rooms. There is a bed in every room. Two people can stay in each room. Rooms are a little small. Tin made but solar is available.

Rui-Lui Para Club House: It is also located at Ruilui Para. 15 people can stay here. The rent will be 100 Taka per person. You can cook yourself. Its caretaker's Moia Lusai Da will arrange everything. There is also a person named Lakhkhan, if you need help. There are two toilets here. One can use free; others will have to pay 200 Taka.

Sajak Resort, Runmoy resort and Alo resort, these are perfect for you and your family as well but Emmanuel and Ruiliparpa Club House have difficulty staying with family or ladies. Before going there you should give booking.

Food: Before going there if you inform them to arrange food, they will arrange accordingly. It can cost up to Tk 100-150 per person. Vegetables, chickens, Pork are also available here but beef is not available. You will find some coffee shops. Indigenous and Bengali, two types of foods are available here.

What to see in Sajek: Apart from the beauty of Sajek, you can see Kamlak Jharna (fountain), you can reach there after two and half hours by trekking. Between Ruilui Para to Helipad road, you will find steep hill road.

While returning from Sajek, Hazachara fountain, Dighinala Hanging Bridge, and Dighinala Banbihar can be seen. To see all these things in a day, you can move as quickly as possible. You can visit Rishong fountain and Alutila Cave from Khagrachari city. You can take CNG or can go by bus.

There is an extraordinary fountain named Toiduchara in Dighinala, but if you want to see it, you will have to spend one day separately for this fountain only. It will take about 6-7 hours to walk from Jamtoli of Dighinala to go to the fountain. From Dighinala bus station to by easy bike, you can go to Jamaltali, and rent is 10 taka per person. With the course of going to this fountain, you will definitely get enough dry food, because after Jamtali there are no more shops.

If you want to stay in Dighinala, you can stay at the Dighinala Guest House, it is located on the opposite side of the bus stand. The condition of the guest house is good enough. You can take room between 300 and 500 Taka.

If you want to visit Toiduchara fountain, then you will have to take a local or a well-known person. You will have to go to Nandaram of Dighinala-Sajek road, go to the Shijuk 1 and 2 fountains, it takes 6-8 hours by trekking, you must take food and guide along. There is no market there. All the resorts and shops in the Ruilui village. There are three helipads and a park built by the Army. The beauty of Sajak is enjoyed from Ruili Para and Kanglak Para.

Where to stay in Khagrachari: In Khagrachari there are many hotels including Parjatan motel, all the rooms of the motel are two beds. Rent: AC 2100 Taka, Non AC 1300 Taka.

There is another hotel named Giri Thebar, It is located in Khagrachari Cantonment near Khagrachari town. Civilians can also stay here. All rooms are air-conditioned. Out of which two VIP rooms, each rental is Tk 3050. Double room rent is 2050 and a single room with a rental of 1200 Taka. Contact: Corporal Raihan- 01859025694.

Hotel Eco Chhori Inn:  Located in the mountainous environment beside Khagrapur Cantonment. It is the resort type hotel. Contact: 0371-62625, 3743225. Apart from this, more hotels are Shailo Suborno Hotel: 0371-61436, 01190776812. Hotel Zerin 0371-61071. Hotel Lobbiot: 0371-6120, 01556575746, 01199244730. Hotel Shilpi: 0371-61795.

Where to eat in Khagrachari: You can go to System restaurant for lunch or dinner; it is located in Pankhai Para. Here you can eat traditional food of Khagrachari. Contact: 0371-62634, 01556773493, 01732906322.
